THE PENINSULA RESIDENCE
Bercy Chen Studio contributed their design skills for the remodel of a 1980’s waterfront house that looks over Lake Austin in Austin, Texas.
Through the use of glass, steel, detailing and lighting, the project saught to update the home’s interior while redefining it’s relationship with the lake beyond.
The exisiting house was a typical American wood stud framing building and it was not unusual for such a structure to be demolished to make way for a brand new structure. However after some consideration, the owner decided to keep the existing ‘bones’ of the house and completely re-organize the house. A glass solarium with the same roof angle is created, rotated 20 degrees in plan to follow the side property line, creating a new triangular pool and lap pool extending to the boathouse.

We're sad to see the Ferrari F430 go, but at least its replacement is a step up — in nearly every way. KUROSHIO SEA-2ND LARGEST AQUARIUM TANK IN THE WORLD
The tank called the 'Kuroshio Sea' holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.

Tron Bike reminds me of Cybercops
This is the Tron Bike sequel's lightcycles, which apparently has escaped the grid to get into the real world. It's on display at Comic Con 2009. I don't know if Im the only one but growing up in Brazil I used to watch a japanese hero series called Cybercop which had a similar bike design. One day I saw the the action figure along with the bike in a brazilian toy store, it was the last one they had so I hid it behind the shelfs so that I could run home and get my saved it up allowance to buy it, heheh it worked.. good memories.

WOW...This is the latest Mirage GT to come out of Porsche tuner, Gemballa’s garage. The Carrera GT may well have ceased production on May 6, 2006 but Gemballa are still finding enough interest in their Mirage kits to create a new one every now and again.This Mirage GT has 650bhp and is capable of 0-100kph (62mph) in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the standard car. 0-200 kph is also dealt with in 0.2 seconds less, 9.7 seconds in total. It tops out at 335 kph (208mph).The exterior looks stunning as always with Mirage GT’s. The mix of matte black paintwork and silver accents really make the car stand out. As with most tuners, Gemballa have added a garish ‘one-off’ theme to the car. A mixture of black material, blue alcantara and a space age-looking silver material.

Japanese Rice Field Art
Crazy Art. Rice field art in the country of the rising sun. Each year these guys make new images on their field by planting rice in different patterns making various images. They use different sorts of rice for color. The result is amazing as you can see. It’s a pity they only last as long as it’s time to harvest the rice.

ZERO-G WATCH (AMAZING!)
The Swiss Watch maker Zenith introduced several very nice watches in their DEFY XTREME 2009 collection. The Defy Xtreme Tourbillon ZERO-G is a mean looking piece that actually defies gravity. ZENITH has devised a Zero-G (zero gravity) system. The gyroscope cage Tourbillon comprises an escapement mounted on cardan joints rather like marine chronometers. The instrument, which is sensitive to changes of position, is kept in a constant horizontal position, thereby ensuring optimal amplitude for the spiral balance-wheel.
